ABL Welcomes SIKA - July 2021

ABL Distribution Is Now A Direct Distributor Of Sika Adhesives, Sealants, Activators & Primers. 

From its origins in Switzerland, Sika is now a market leader in the manufacture of sealants and adhesives for use in the construction, automotive, marine and general industry.

ABL stocks a wide range of Sika industrial polyurethanes, Silane Terminated Polymers (STP) and acrylic adhesives.

    • Can be sanded and painted

  • Sikaflex 252
    • 1 component polyurethane adhesive sealant with high dynamic stress capabilities – 3 MPA
    • Ideal for bonding vehicle, truck and bus chassis assembly where vibration is a key factor

    • Capable of withstanding high dynamic stresses

    • Sikaflex®-291 is a non-sag, 1 component polyurethane sealant specifically developed for the marine market, which cures on exposure to atmospheric moisture.

  • Sikaflex 290DC

    • It exhibits excellent weathering resistance and is, therefore, well suited for highly exposed open joints within the maritime environment
    • The sealing compound cures to form a flexible elastomer which allows a fast and easy sanding process

Sika Activators & Primers

Sika Activators and Primers effectively act as a link between Sika 1 component polyurethane adhesives/sealants and a surface/substrate.  They help to improve adhesive qualities on a wide variety of surfaces.
Prior to using any activator or primer, surfaces should be dry and oil, fat and dust free.

    • Sika® Aktivator-100 is a solvent-based colorless adhesion promoter, which reacts with moisture and deposits active groups on the substrate
